Reminder
Allison DuBois became aware that she had the ability to communicate with departed souls when she was 6 years old.
She uses her ability to connect with deceased loved ones and also to help law enforcement agencies solve crimes, such as the Texas Rangers and the Glendale, Arizona police department, and that she used these abilities as a jury consultant.
The TV show " Medium ", was aired from 2005 until 2011 on NBC and CBS is based on Allison DuBois's book, "Don't Kiss Them Good-Bye"
Like in the show, Allison has three children and her husband, Joe is an aerospace engineer.
Knowing you better
- First question, what impressed you the most the first time you saw a spirit, and what was your reaction ?
A.D. : As I talk about in my first book, "Don’t Kiss Them Good-Bye", I was 6 years old when I saw my first spirit. It was the night of my great-grandfather’s funeral and I saw him standing at the foot of my bed. He looked healthy and gave me a message to give to my mother. I gave it to her and she told me to go back to bed. When I went back to my room he was gone, so, I was confused as to where he went.
- How do spirits appear to you ?
A.D. : I can see them in front of me and in my head (because it takes less energy for them to appear in your mind).
- Do you need to put yourself in a special state before a reading ?
A.D. : No, just a quiet place.
- Are there any other members of your family possessing paranormal faculties?
A.D. : Yes, it’s a genetic trait.
Are you happy to see that your daughters have your gift ?
A.D. : Of course.
- How does your mediumship manifest most of the time ?
A.D. : It’s a part of me all of the time.
- Can you control it in your everyday life ?
A.D. : Yes, I have boundaries with the dead and the living.
- What’s your main skill, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience… ?
A.D. : I use all of those.
- Has your gift developed with time and practice?
A.D. : Yes, the more you practice, the stronger you get.
- We can see you scribbling while doing a reading, how did you discover it helps you to connect?
A.D. : I started taking notes while doing readings and it developed in to automatic writing.
- We can see on social networks your astrological tendencies of the day, how did you get interested in astrology?
A.D. : I’m an Aquarius, we ‘rule’ astrology, so it was quite natural.
- Quite popular in France with people such as Yves Linès, Manu Delpech (EVP practitioners), Father François Brune (Catholic Priest, Author), Infinitude Association, etc.. What is your opinion on EVP voices?
A.D. : I’ve had clients audio tape in person readings and their recorder picked up voices of the deceased, so I totally believe in EVP.
Spirits are electric energy, it’s why they can manipulate electronics devices to let us know they’re around. So, recorders are a good tool for communication.
Guides
A.D. : My dad Mike is my “Guide”.
- Do you see them ?
A.D. : Yes
- And if so, did your Guide already save you or someone of your family from any danger?
A.D. : I’ve been saved many times by the Otherside, so has my youngest daughter Sophia.
- What difference do you make between the Guardian Angel and Guides?
A.D. : Guardian angels are protection in my experience and are quite serious and tall.
Guides help us with our daily life, my dad helps me in readings when the person that I’m bringing through doesn’t communicate well.
Mediumship
- Is there a message that impressed you particularly?
A.D. : After my dad died, I heard a voice say, “Every day is a good day, because it’s a day closer to seeing him again. "You’re not moving away from him, you’re moving towards him.”
- According to your experience, do you think that Mediums are of great help to grieving people?
A.D. : Of course.
- What is the role of mediums in the American society today?
A.D. : Same as everywhere else, to help the grieving.
Spirits
- Do you have famous spirits coming along in your readings? (And if so, could you give us examples?)
A.D. : I’ve brought through many famous people. I don’t publicly acknowledge them out of respect for my clients.
There was one I brought through for a science experiment that was published in an academic journal so I can mention it. Princess Diana was the first famous person I brought through.
- How do spirits let you know to whom they want to deliver a message in public readings?
A.D. : I don’t ambush read people on the streets because I find it unethical.
In my ballroom events, I’m drawn to people who exude the most energy and that’s how I select who I read. They’re the people who are emotionally available and capable of communication.
- What is your opinion on Earthbound Spirits?
A.D. : Some spirits don’t know they died or they need you to acknowledge that their death mattered when no living person cared when they died.

- Did you have a mentor?
A.D. : No
- What is your most wonderful meeting. The most important one?
A.D. : Oprah, she’s inspiring.
Books
- You have written several books, all translated into French, could you tell us more about your last book? or maybe a new book to come?
A.D. : Into The Dark, is my latest book (#5). It’s written from the perspective of the deceased and how we continue to be part of their lives and visa versa.

- My traditional last question, what’s your most beautiful experience?
A.D. : Being a mother to my three wonderful girls.
- Would you like to add something?
A.D. : I can’t imagine living without my abilities or my husband Joe and our beautiful girls. I’m the luckiest woman, very blessed.

RépondreSupprimerI really beleive you. i lost my brother, of cancer, and i know , he s w/us. the light flashes, over mom and my house. so,i know he s still with us, we are a very close family. he died in 2014, and since then , he show us ,that is watching over us. and, i know he will be there , waiting for us,so, death d ont scare me anymore.love you ALLISON DUBOIS. i m french, and maybe you are part of french. i like you a lot and believe you 100 per cent!please, keep us in touch, always
